Try my Oats idli recipe which is very easy for weekday breakfasts & of course don’t forget to try my hummus chuttney with idli.
Rolled oats-1 1/2cp
Chana dal-1 1/2tbsp
Heat a pan, dry roast oats for about 4-5 mins in medium flame.
Let it cool and grind into coarse powder. Transfer to a mixing bowl.
Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds, urad dal and grated carrot. Add rawa to it and roast for about 4 mins.
Transfer the rawa mixture to the same mixing bowl and add salt, yogurt and give a nice stir.
Pour in water & again mix well.
Keep it aside for about 15 minutes.
Keep ready the idli maker.
Add in baking soda to the batter & blend well (batter will be little fluffy than before).
Grease the molds and pour in batter steam for 8 mins.
Take out and let it rest for 2-3 mins, that makes easy to u mold the idli.
For Chuttney:- Curries or chuttneys are the headache for me when it comes to dosa or idli. This is my easy chuttney recipe I experimented and it came out delicious. I had hummus in my refrigerator and I made chuttney out of it. Yes, hummus itself is kind of chuttney and I made a South Indian style chuttney with that.
Water- to dilute as per you need
Mustard seeds-1 tbsp
Red chilli pdr-1 1/2tsp
Dilute the hummus with water to required thickness.
Heat oil in a sauce pan, splutter mustard seeds, dry chilli, red chilli pdr. Make sure not to get burn.
Pour in the diluted hummus & tamarind paste.
Bring to boil and the hummus chuttney is ready………
