Basic red velvet cake recipe is here for your holiday collection. I am gonna make ahead truffles and red velvet frosted cake using this ready cake. Red Velvet Cake
Granulated sugar-1 1/2cps
Buttermilk-1cp (room temp)
Vegetable Oil-1 1/2cps
Eggs-2 large (room temp)
Red food color-2tbsp
Note:- This measures were particularly used for 9 inch 3 layered cake.
Preheat oven at 350 F.
Butter the pans & keep ready.
In a large bowl whisk well all the dry ingredients.
In an another mixing bowl mix the wet ingredients one by one.
Add the dry ingredient in 3 batches to the wet and give a nice mix.
Divide the batter into 3 (2 or 3, as per how many layers you have planned for the cake).
Bake for about 30 mins.
Let it cool & use for further prep.
